Bostik Hard Plastic Glue 20ml

Bostik Hard Plastics adhesive has the advantages of easy application and immediate strength on contact for all those tougher repairs to hard or rigid plastics. It has wide range of uses for repairing household objects. Bostik Hard Plastics adhesive is also useful for sticking most clear plastics, wood, metal and leather.

Bostik Hard Plastics adhesive is suitable for: 

• PVC-U (eg. pipes)

• ABS (eg. LEGO bricks, small kitchen appliances, keyboard keycaps, automotive components, protective headgear and musical instruments.)

• High impact polystyrene (eg. fixtures, models, plastic shelving)

Directions:

For best results, ensure surfaces are dry, clean and free from dust and grease. Wearing gloves is recommended. 

Application

• Remove tube cap. Using a brush, spread a thin layer of the adhesive evenly over both surfaces. 

• Leave the coated surfaces until the adhesive is no longer tacky, approximately 10 minutes at normal room temperature.

• Once glue is no longer tacky, ensure surfaces are accurately aligned and then press firmly together. They will stick immediately.

Cleaning

• After use, wipe the nozzle with a clean dry cloth (avoiding skin contact).

• Bostik Hard Plastics adhesive can be removed using acetone before set. Solvents can damage some surfaces, therefore carry out a test on a small area first.

About the Brand

In 1889, the Boston Blacking Company was founded in Chelsea, Massachusetts, USA.

A producer of leather colourings and dyes for the shoemaking industry, the company grew and in the 1920’s the Boston Blacking Company was established in 12 countries including Australia.

Several products were launched under the Bostik brand as early as the 1940’s, with the business taking on the Bostik company name in the 1960’s.

In 1980, Bostik was taken over, but the Bostik brand was kept as a stand-alone brand. 

In 2015 Bostik was acquired by Arkema and has been the ‘Adhesives Solutions’ segment of Arkema ever since.

Since 1889 Bostik has patented over 9,000 technologies, covering everything from aerospace interior adhesives to Blu Tack®, growing from a local dye manufacturer to a global industry leader, and the brand has become a household name.
